Benjamin Lundberg (10-17) achieved an ATAR of 99.60 and is the recipient of the 2017 General Exhibition (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander).

Benjamin’s grandmother, Dr Sue Gordon, was the first Indigenous magistrate in WA and the first Indigenous person to head a government department in WA. ‘My grandmother is extremely proud of me and I am hoping to take her to see me received the award,’ Benjamin said.

Headmaster Mr David Gee said he had little doubt Benjamin would have an outstanding future beyond Wesley. ‘Benjamin is an insightful and talented young man. His teachers found that he set high goals for himself, worked hard to achieve them and was always willing to give his time to help other students if they should need it,’ he said.

Benjamin has accepted an early offer to study dentistry at UWA in 2018. What an incredible achievement!
