In December 2017, Year 12 student Lewis represented the 2017 Under 16 State Hockey Team in Adelaide at the National Championships. The WA team finished in a well-deserved third place and Lewis was the top scorer for WA with seven goals. Lewis then trialled for the Under 18 State Hockey Team at the start of January 2018 and has just been named in the finalised side as a striker.

Lewis will travel with the team to Launceston in March to the National Championships, where the WA team are the favourites. Lewis has a long history of playing hockey – starting when he was 5 years old – and has been a focused player, dedicating many hours to this sport over the years.

Congratulations Lewis on this prestigious achievement and all the best for the forthcoming competitions!
