Embracing the spirit of innovation beyond standard curriculum, Wesley takes learning to the NEXT level.

Wesley NEXT has been created to give our Year 10-12 students a depth and breadth of opportunities in order to develop their passions and skills for the next stage of their journey beyond Wesley.

Students are invited to embark on a new suite of micro-credentials that are unlike anything else offered in Western Australia. These micro-credentials have not replaced traditional curriculum, the Western Australian Certificate of Education or formal post schooling qualifications. Rather, they will assist students in acquiring a wider range of skills and be more familiar with how to up skill themselves in ways that employers, industry and tertiary institutions are looking for. Some of the wide range of micro-credentials on offer include:

  • Brand Me – Putting your best foot forward to future employers
  • Investing: Real Estate, Shares, Funds and Fixed Terms
  • 8 meals to cook when you leave home
  • Stressing Well – Mindfulness and Meditation
  • The Business of Mining
  • Agribusiness and the Future of Food
  • Mic Up – Introduction to Podcasting

You can read further about the micro-credentials offered and purpose of the program here.

With support from our community, we can see this unique and innovative program developing into a world-class transformational program for all students. The range of micro-credentials on offer is a key factor of the program’s success. If you or your organisation are interested in partnering to deliver an exciting micro-credential to Wesley students, or have any ideas about future courses, we’d like to find out more.

To learn more about the program, submit an idea for a micro-credential or if you’re interested in facilitating a micro-credential – we’d love to hear from you!
