Congratulations to our outstanding Pre-primary teacher and Team Leader of the Early Years Teaching Team, Wendy Candy, who last night won the Australian Council for Educational Leaders WA Teacher Leader Award for Excellence.
Wendy is an exemplary teacher, leader, role model and mentor, who is generous with her time, empathy and expertise. Wendy makes a significant contribution to the College and to education through her membership on various committees and networks. With expertise in designing innovative curricula and pedagogy in early childhood contexts, Wendy is passionate about curriculum, pedagogy, professional growth and quality learning and teaching. She has taught in early years classrooms and in universities and has conducted research on supporting educations and engaging children in ethical decision-making around sustainability issues.
