The Moorditj Mob perform at MADALAH Ball

Posted August 5, 2019 in School News By Community Relations

The annual MADALAH Ball was held over the weekend at Crown Perth to raise funds towards academic scholarships for WA’s Indigenous students. This year marked MADALAH’s 10-year anniversary, and the event raised enough funding to provide an additional 38 scholarships for Indigenous students in 2020.

MADALAH stands for ‘Making A Difference And Looking Ahead’ and empowers Indigenous students and community members to make a difference by becoming future leaders and role models.

The Moorditj Mob were one of the exceptional performances of the night and a Didgeridoo, hand painted by students from Wesley College, was auctioned off.

The National Indigenous Times have covered the event in full, click here to read the article.
