Last week saw another successful WES Talks presentation unfold. Susan Mclean, Australia’s foremost expert in the area of Cybersafety and young people, visited Wesley to speak about the positive benefits of technology as well as what parents need to be aware of.
Following the presentation, Susan left us with this comment:
“It’s so impressive that a school such as Wesley College, invest in expert speakers to ensure that not only their students but their staff and parents are adequately equipped with the right information to be able to successfully parent and educate in the digital space. So many have their heads in the sand when it comes to online issues. It’s fantastic to see that a school like Wesley has cyber safety embedded in the curriculum and is willing to deal with the tough issues as well as promote the positive use of technology within their school.”
We will continue to invest in speakers like Susan in the future!
