Miss Rebekka Oldham is a Junior School teacher at Wesley College. With her huge pastoral heart and caring mindset, Rebekka was born to be a teacher.

Why did you become a teacher?

I always loved school and the community feel that it brought. I had incredible teachers who made my schooling experience such a positive one and so I wanted to be able to do the same.

What is your favourite teaching memory?

I love the incidental, day to day comments and laughs with the children. They really do come up with the best quips!

Why Wesley?

Wesley is a beautiful place and the campus always feels like it is buzzing. I am lucky to be able to work with lovely children and dedicated staff. Plus my granddad, uncles and cousins attended Wesley, so I have a family attachment to the College.

Favourite quote?

‘Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are’ – Harold S. Kushner.
