On Monday 5 Feburary Wesley College Headmaster, David Gee, and Penrhos College Principal, Meg Melville, announced to our communities that they are seeking to create more opportunities for our Colleges to collaborate to the benefit of families, staff and most importantly, our students.
Penrhos and Wesley have enjoyed a brother sister relationship for many years and share a substantial number of families across the day and boarding schools. As schools of the Uniting Church faith, located in close proximity, there is an opportunity to develop an even greater, more closely aligned presence in the education sector south of the river and indeed beyond.
Penrhos and Wesley already have in place a number of collaborative opportunities for students, and are ultimately seeking more opportunities for students, staff and family engagement across our two Colleges.
While retaining the independent identities of each of our Colleges (Penrhos as single sex PK to 12 girls school and Wesley as co-educational PK to 6 and boys only 7 to 12), this future direction will enhance the educational opportunities for the students of both of our communities.
