Built along Swan Street and connecting into the current gymnasium, The Centenary Building Project, is a cutting-edge sports and community precinct that will benefit every Wesley student who attends our great College.
This daring initiative will feature:
Capacity to host College-wide events (we have seats for 1,800 guests!)
Four multi-sport courts
High-performance sports facility
The ‘Link Building’ (illustration above) will include:
A reception space for College events
State-of-the-art classrooms
Teaching kitchen for hands on learning
Suites dedicated to Health Care Professionals (Allied Health)Â
Plans are also underway to rebuild Wesley College’s much-loved pool, continuing the legacy of a facility that has supported our community for more than 60 years.
The new Aquatic Precinct will feature a 50-metre pool and a full-size international water polo pool, supported by new filtration systems, tiered seating, shade sails, and new landscaping.
Because of you, the Centenary Building Project will benefit all Wesley students in many ways.

Frequently Asked Questions
This project is part of an ongoing master plan to upgrade College facilities. The plan has seen enhancements to buildings as we anticipate and adapt to the changing needs of our students. The College’s current gymnasium has served the Wesley community well since opening in 1987. However, the College’s requirements have changed dramatically, and the facilities no longer serve student or community needs.
Notably, it will address the current lack of an undercover area for whole-College assemblies and other community events while giving students access to a multi-purpose and high-performance sports precinct.
The College’s existing pool has brought people together for over 60 years – from Watkins Southside swimmers to families across South Perth. That won’t change. Whether you’re training for the Olympics or cooling off on a summer afternoon, the new pool will be for everyone.
