Wesley offers a diverse and exciting range of arts offerings across the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools. Wesley College has a team of highly skilled music teachers, many of whom perform with professional orchestras and bands. With outstanding drama productions and an eclectic range of music ensembles and dance, there is something for everyone. These activities are open to all students within the College, and students are encouraged to seek out Arts activities.
Music is an integral part of the school program at Wesley College, and the College has a large and diverse instrumental music tuition program. Instrumental lessons are given once a week, on a rotational basis, during school hours. Before and after school lessons are exclusively reserved for senior students (Year 11 and Year 12).

The annual participation fee is charged in two instalments, one per semester, enabling 34 lessons to be given per year.
Kindergarten – Year 6
30 minute lessons –Â $1,816
Years 7-8
30-40 minute lessons –Â $2,420
Years 9-12
40 minute lessons – $2,420
The hire of an instrument through the College is $260 per annum. This is charged in two instalments per year, and enables the instruments to be maintained and upgraded as required.
Group instrumental fees are charged at $408.50 per semester, a total of $817 per year.
Year 5 Band Program
In Year 5, all students attend a practical band class once a week as part of their scheduled performing arts curriculum. As part of this class, your child will be given tuition on a band instrument from a specialist instrument music teacher as well as participating in group band sessions. There is a selection process for instrument allocation and this is aimed at providing a balanced ensemble in each class.
Students will cover many aspects of playing an instrument and performing in a group setting, as well as theoretical concepts specific to the Western Australian curriculum. They will also have the opportunity to perform in a concert environment as part of this program.
