Orientation Days - Middle School
Friday 12 November, 2021
In Term 4, we will have an Orientation Day for our Year 5 & 6 students for next year. The purpose of the day is for students to get to know each other in the class that they will be in for the following year. The Orientation Day is a day to build relationships, engage new and existing students and if time permits, time for parents to meet each other as well as key staff members. Students will be spending the day with their Tutor Teacher and class mates for next year.
Thursday 27 January, 2022
At the start of the new year, before school returns, the Year 7 students will engage in an Orientation Day program. This will also include any new Year 8 students.
The program is designed for boys and their father/guardian to participate in Tutor Group activities in the morning. The purpose of the day is for the students to get to know other boys from their Tutor Group better and for their fathers/guardians to meet and get to know each other as well. It consists of rotational games and activities which are both fun and require some degree of skill, with boys and their father/guardian competing against one another in their Tutor Groups.
If it is not possible, or appropriate, for your son’s father/guardian to be present, an older brother, male relative or friend of the family is a perfectly acceptable substitute. Alternatively, arrangements may be made for a school provided partner for your son, so please contact us if you have any concerns and we can assist.
