Architect unanimously elected to Wesley College Council

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Jessika Hames to the Wesley College Council.

Ms Hames is an Old Collegian, having attended Wesley from 1983 to 1989, current parent and experienced architect.

An Associate Director at Hames Sharley, Ms Hames has served on the Wesley College Building and Works Committee since 2022. She was unanimously elected as the newest Council member at the April College Council meeting.

Chair of College Council, Mr Matt Braysher, said the Council was excited to have Ms Hames take on this role.

‘Jessika has been an instrumental member of the College community, providing astute advice and expertise on our Building and Works Committee,’ said Mr Braysher. ‘She brings a fresh outlook and a wealth of knowledge that will enhance the good work for which our Council is known. Jessika’s appointment furthers our strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusions so vital to accomplishing our mission. I look forward to the work we will do together.’

Ms Hames said she was proud to be a Council member for one of Western Australia’s top independent schools.

‘I am thrilled with the Council’s confidence in me and look forward to serving the Wesley College community in my new role.’

Ms Hames attended Curtin University and is also is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction WA Marketing committee. She is a proud alumni and mother of current student Sam, and Wesley Old Collegian, Georgia McGowan (16-16-28).
