Easter Message from the Wesley College Chaplain

Dear Friends,

For most of us after the hectic start to a new school year, Easter come as a welcome respite. However, Easter is far more than that, for it can remind us that the presence of Jesus is a sign of undiminished hope in the midst of what can a very complex world we live in.

Easter reminds us that hope must never be lost for as dark as the road may seem, there always lies light at the end of it.

With the world news of the past few days focussing on the unfolding tragedy of Syria, it might be hard for many to see any sign of hope in the midst of such darkness, indeed madness.

Yet on Easter Day, countless millions will celebrate in many different ways the Risen Christ, which is front and center of the faith upon which Wesley was established.

Risen Christ is celebrated in every opened flower, in every beam of nourishing sunlight, in every humble patch of green beneath our feet.

May the Risen Lord be with you all and fill your hearts with compassion, joy, love and never ending hope.

I wish you all and your extended families every Easter Blessing.
