A Message from the Headmaster: Excellent 2019 ATAR Results

Posted December 19, 2019 in Announcements, School News By Ross Barron

It is my great pleasure to inform you that the Class of 2019 has once again excelled and achieved outstanding results in all areas of academic endeavour.

These bright young men have achieved the second highest ATAR academic results in Wesley’s history.

The cohort’s median ATAR of 86.95 reflects a culture of high academic standards and a strong partnership between students, teachers and families.

While a high median ATAR is one measure of success, we all know of countless individual stories of our students achieving their personal best, contributing many hours of service for others and engaging in all areas of Wesley’s co-curricular program. Despite many having overcome personal challenges throughout their school journey, every young man has a unique story that is worth celebrating.

We are also immensely proud that the Year 12 group achieved 69 VET qualifications and nine students completed INSTEP. As well, many students have already received awards, apprenticeships and scholarships. During this year, students were challenged to unite as a group, to support each other and to seek higher standards. Without a doubt, they met this challenge. Once again, we are very proud of them.

As they embark on the next exciting phase of their lives, I know you will join me in wishing them all the very best.

Ross Barron

Headmaster
