100 Acts of Service for 100 years

For 100 Years Wesley College has a strong history of service to others. From Pre-kindergarten to Year 12, the Wesley community volunteers their time and resources in a variety of ways.

Service is the giving of your time & talent for the benefit of a community group (not for profit) that has a genuine need.

Who Can Participate?

Anyone who loves Wesley College is eligible to participate. It doesn’t matter who you are; all that matters is that you have a desire to give back to your community.

How to Participate

Find an individual, an organization, or a cause that needs help and give them your most precious gift – your time and talents.

The community service activities that Wesley College is involved in also fit into this category, but Acts can extend beyond those suggested. Uniting Care West, the South Perth Senior Citizens Centre, the Cancer Council, Tangaroa Blue and the Red Cross Soup Patrol are all organisations that genuinely need volunteers in order for them to deliver their services. Without people like us, willing to give our time and talent to help out, these services would not operate.

The following are examples of Community Service:

If you do any of these activities in your own time you can record them as a part of our 100 Acts of Service.

Putting the flag up for the SPSCC or Wesley before school and taking it down after school
Assisting with Meals on Wheels
Volunteering with the Red Cross Soup Kitchen
Patrolling the beach as part of Surf Club roster
Helping out with the Disabled Surfers event on the weekend
Working on a specific job to raise money for a community group who need it

How to log your Acts of Service

As you accumulate your hours and acts, email communityrelations@wesley.wa.edu.au and submit them. You can also tag us on social media with #Wesley100Acts including any photos of your good work. You can log hours as often as you like, and there is no limit on the number of submissions. You can also record hours on behalf of a group or organisation.

Students of Wesley College can record Acts as part of their service hours on SchoolBox. Students are responsible for logging their hours and providing evidence of completion. This must be done in the term that the activity was undertaken.

Acts from February 1, 2023, until December 1, 2023 can be submitted.

Share Your Photos & Videos

Do all the good you can,
by all the means you can,
in all the ways you can,
in all the places you can,
at all the times you can,
to all the people you can,
as long as ever you can.
