The Wesley College Parents' and Friends' Association is a part of the Wesley College community which aims to assist the College and its students and encourage social activity amongst parents and friends.
The P&F took its present form in the year 2000 when it became an association incorporated in Western Australia. A committee (Executive Council) is elected at the AGM which is held in the Term 3 of each year. The Executive Council consists of the Headmaster, Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Chairperson, Fundraising Chairperson and representatives from Senior School (3), Middle School (2), Junior School (2), boarding (1) and staff (1).
Membership is open to:
· parents and guardians of present and past students of Wesley College
· friends who have been nominated
· Honorary Life Members.
To summarise the P&F constitution, our main purpose is:
· to promote the welfare of the students
· to encourage a sense of community
· to provide a representative and consultative forum for the Headmaster.
Broadly, we aim to achieve these goals by fundraising and applying funds to projects of value to the general school community, organising social functions and by means of an extensive network of House and College representatives to communicate with the Headmaster.
The Wesley P&F seeks to raise funds for the betterment of Wesley College and its students. Members pay a yearly subscription which provides a base income. Additional funds are raised by a range of events and activities, for example, a school-fee lottery, sale of Entertainment Books, sausage sizzles and sundowners.
